Everyday has been an endless wait for us, said Zakia Ahmed, mother of Dr Sabeel Ahmed, who will be deported to India on Wednesday from the United Kingdom.

Dr Sabeel Ahmed was arrested in UK in connection with the failed UK terror plot in the year 2007. His brother Kafeel Ahmed, who allegedly drove the burning SUV into Glasgow airport, died of burn injuries in hospital nearly three months after the incident.

Dr Sabeel Ahmed remained in custody for nearly 8 months. The police had charged him with concealing information regarding the terror plot. The police said his brother's email to him had information regarding the plot, but Sabeel had not informed the police.

However, Sabeel was convicted and then ordered to be released as he had served out his sentence during the trial period.

Sabeel's mother Zakia Ahmed, who is eagerly awaiting his return from the UK, said they have been praying for his return everyday.

She, however, told rediff.com that they are not sure as to when he would return to Bengaluru exactly.

"I spoke to him last night, but he did not tell me exactly when he would return to Bengaluru. I just want him back home safe," she also added.

Family members say they do not want to make it a high profile affair. They want a quiet return and want to get on with their lives. Meanwhile, there are contradictory reports regarding his return to India from the UK.
