Ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, two Lok Sabha members have sought the passage of a resolution in Parliament, which states that every inch of the border state was part of India and cannot be compromised.

Seeking special financial packages for the north-eastern state, Kiren Rijiju and Tapir Gao also urged the Prime Minister to consider implementation of their demand that the status of populated areas of both sides of the McMahon Line should not be altered to enable a permanent solution to the border dispute with China.

In a letter to Singh, the BJP MPs said a firm assurance about the matter should be given by passing a resolution in Parliament during the Budget Session.

They demanded reopening of traditional trade routes with China through places like Kinjomane, Taksing, Mechuka, Monigong, Geling and Kibito in the border talks with China.

The parliamentarians, while welcoming the Prime Minister on his maiden visit to the state, wanted a declaration that all border points and villages will be connected to roads and telecommunication.

They also sought a special budgetary component in the 11th Plan for infrastructure development in the state and release of funds during the ongoing fiscal year for completion of several centrally-funded projects.
