Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda on Tuesday said he would seek the trust vote in the assembly on August 25 and expressed confidence that his government would win the confidence vote.

"I cannot reveal my strategy right now. but I can tell you I am going to win the confidence of the MLAs inside the house," Koda said when asked how could he manage the magic figure of 41 in the 82-member House with a vacant seat after the 17-member JMM withdrew support to his government.

On the opposition charges of horse-trading could be behind his confidence to win, Koda rubbished them as "baseless and incorrect".

"Charges of horse-trading are baseless and rubbish. There is no horse-trading. I am depending on what I have achieved in the nearly two years of governance. On that

foundation I am confident to win the hearts of the people and their representatives (MLAs). They will trust me inside the house," Koda said.

Asked whether in touch with some NDA MLAs, Koda, who was minister during the previous two NDA governments said he was counting on his "good work" during the last two years.

Asked whether he too shared deputy chief minister Stephen Marandi's belief that trust vote situation might not arise as the central UPA leadership could intervene, Koda said, "See, I have already been asked to take the trust vote, and I will take it."
