The crude bomb containing ammonium nitrate was packed with nuts and bolts and wrapped in a red cloth.
The bomb was found at a small town called Channapatana, which is around 50 km from Bangalore city.
The police feel that it could be the handiwork of some mischief monger, but are not ruling out a terror aspect to the incident.
'Bombs used in Bengaluru more sophisticated than in Ahmedabad'
This is the second time that a bomb has been found in Channapatana. The last time a bomb was found was a day before the serial blasts in Bangalore. The police had also taken into possession large quantity of ammonium nitrate, which -- it is believed -- was dumped by terrorists.
The police had said that the material was being smuggled in from Kerala [Images] through Mysore and that the material may have been dumped due to the fear of getting caught. At around the same time, a low intensity blast also took place in Channapatana. However, no one was injured in the blast.
