Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri has said opening the Siachen glacier for tourist trekking can affect the composite dialogue process between India and Pakistan.

"We have lodged a strong protest with India for opening the disputed area of Siachen for tourist trekking and made it clear that this step will not leave a positive impact and the dialogue process can be affected," he said during a discussion with leaders from the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on the fourth session of the composite dialogue, PakTribune reported.

Kasuri assured them that Pakistan will not accept any solution to the Kashmir issue against the will of the people of Kashmir and will continue to take them into confidence over the matter.

He said the fourth session of the dialogue will discuss a range of issues, including Kashmir, Siachen, trade, terrorism and education.
