Prior to the Bharatiya Janata Party-Janata Dal-Secular alliance's show of strength bwefoer the Karnataka governor, JD-S chief H D Deve Gowda had laid down three conditions for the BJP.

The indication is that the BJP has agreed to these conditions, but only time would tell if they keep up their word.

Read on to see Gowda's three conditions:

1) Gowda wants the case that BJP legislator Sriramulu had filed against his son and former chief minister H D Kumraswamy withdrawn. Sriramulu had made charges of attempt to murder against Kumaraswamy. This was the issue which was used by the JD-S not to hand over power to the BJP three weeks back.

2) Gowda wants Nandi Infrastructure Coridor Enterprise Ltd out of the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project. The battle between Gowda and Khenny is an open secret. Since day one, Gowda wanted Khenny out of the project, but the BJP had created a problem for JD-S while making it clear that NICEL should go ahead with the project.

3) The prestigious Bidadi township project announced by H D Kumaraswamy too had run into rough weather after the BJP had laid down certain conditions. Gowda now wants the BJP not to oppose the project and allow it to be completed without any hiccups.

While this is one side of the story, the other part is regarding horse trading.

Sources said that huge chunks of money were offered to the MLAs to side with their party in order to facilitate the formation of the government. It is said that while one party offered Rs 5 crore per MLA another offered Rs 4 crore and Rs 50 lakh per month until the government lasts. However there was no confirmation on whether any of the MLAs accepted the offer or not.
