The Congress has arrived at a seat sharing arrangement with Nationalist Congress Party and Communist Party of India-Marxist in Gujarat giving them five seats, as it released the first list of 82 candidates for the assembly polls being held next month.

NCP gets four seats while CPI-M will fight in one, a senior party leader said.

Congress had on Tuesday night cleared the candidates for the first phase of polls to be held on December 11.

The Bharatiya Janata Party had on November 18 issued its first list of 75 candidates for the two-phased assembly polls in Gujarat, scheduled on December 11 and 16.
