The lower court has acquitted Amit Jogi, the son of former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi, of the murder of the then treasurer of the Nationalist Congress Party, Ramavatar Jaggi.

Ramavatar's son Satish Jaggi said he would move the high court against the acquittal.

"One person (Amit Jogi) has been given the benefit of doubt and I am confident that I'll get justice from the higher courts including the Supreme Court, if needed," 30-year-old Satish said from Raipur.

He, however, expressed satisfaction at the conviction of 28 others in the murder case.
