An Indo-Pak joint survey meeting, which began on February 28 this year at Wagah, concluded on Thursday amid differences on proper identification and demarcation of international border pillars washed away by incessant rains.

They were unable to reach a consensus on reconstruction of the pillars washed away by rains as the two sides did not agree on the 'exact location and proper identification of the original pillars at the international boundary,' sources said.

They said the pending issues would be discussed during the next meeting, the date for which would be announced later.

Survey of India Deputy Director Brigadier P S Samundra, Captain Vishnu Dutt, Deputy Superintendent of Survey Mahesh Ravindranathan, survey officers P N Kotti, B C Pawar and J K Pawar attended the meeting from the Indian side.

Pakistan was represented by Director of Pakistan Survey (South Circle) Mehari Ali Major (retd), Director (East Circle) Mohhamad Mumtaz, survey officers Noor Elahi, Safdar Shahed and Mohhamad Fayeen.
