Passengers on the Samjhauta Express will be allowed to carry only two pieces of luggage weighing a maximum of 35 kg following the February 19 blasts in the train that killed 68 people.
"Extra luggage, if any, can be booked in the luggage van after security check," Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.
The fire due to explosions in two coaches of Delhi-Attari Express on the night of February 18 killed 68 people and injured 12.
"There is no proposal at present to shift departure point of the train," Lalu said.
Measures include frisking of all passengers and manual checking of their luggage.
"Stickers are being pasted on the luggage of passengers mentioning coach and berth number after security check," he said.
Tracker dogs will be deployed for checking of empty rakes and only sleeper class reserved coaches that are connected by vestibules would be used.
