Long-distance trains passing through Rajasthan, which were suspended due to the ongoing Gujjar agitation in the state, resumed services on Saturday.
The trains running on the Mathura-Kota-Nagda route were the first to resume.
Apart from this, some trains also started operating on the Delhi-Mumbai route, including the Golden Temple Express (2904).
The Railway Ministry will be holding a high-level meeting to review the situation regarding the running of additional trains. Authorities have decided to operate three trains on the sensitive Rewari-Jaipur section. Two additional trains will also run on the same route.
26 trains were suspended on Thursday in view of the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan.
