The Bangalore police on Monday said they were still awaiting reports relating to the analysis of the hard disk recovered from the residence of Kafeel Ahmed, a suspect in the botched UK terror plot.

"We have sent the disk to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Hyderabad," Police Commissioner Achutha Rao said.

On the line of investigations taken up by the police following the filing of charges on two Indians -- Sabeel Ahmed and Mohammed Haneef -- in the terror plot, he said, "We are conducting our own enquiries and focusing on our areas of investigations, which include examining presence of any modules and terrorist network in the state."

He replied in the affirmative to a question whether the attack on the Indian Institute of Science here in December 2005 fell within the scope of the ongoing probe.

The police will continue to question associates, friends and others who were in touch with the terror suspects.

He maintained that the police are yet to receive any official communication from the Australian authorities on the issue.
