The Pakistan high commission on Monday rushed a team of officials to Deewana in Paniput, about 100 kms from New Delhi, where an explosion in Indo-Pak Samjhauta Express killed 66 passengers.
The team has been sent to coordinate with officials engaged in relief and rescue operations considering that a number of Pakistani nationals are suspected to be killed in the blast.
Describing the incident as very very sad, Pakistan's Deputy High Commissioner Afrasiab said the Mission was working closely with the Indian government.
"We are in constant touch with the Ministry of External Affairs," Afrasaib said.
He said the high commission and the MEA were coordinating with regard to information about the victims and other aspects related to the incident.
