A senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party has prepared a list of reasons in case Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi [Images] loses the assembly polls on December 23 when the counting for the votes is taken up under the supervision of the chief electoral officers of the state.

The leader quickly added that this would not be required as the party is likely to get more than 110 assembly seats at the minimum.

According to the party top brass, the one per cent chance cannot be ruled out. The major negative points, according to this leader, is that some of the senior leaders have been upset with the manner in which they have been treated. The other point is that a large number of farmers have been booked for electricity theft and the rising suicides in the farming community.

Prakash Javadekar, one of the spokespersons of the party, claimed that the production of cotton has increased three times the earlier production. "This is all because of Sardar Sarovar dam that water is now available in plenty," he said.

He did not rule out a change in the state leadership in due course.

"Right now Modi is our leader and he alone could do what he did. He gave tickets to 50 Patels which included 22 women. In addition to that, Modi has brought in 50 new faces in the election fold. I call it 50+50 is equal to 100. Hence, we do not see any dissidence. In fact it was countered by youth and women swarming the elections," Javadekar told rediff.com.
