Wrapping up his road shows for the Gujarat assembly poll, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi [Images] sought to pick holes in Chief Minister Narendra Modi's [Images] development plank, saying he has not delivered on promises and attacked his government for discriminating against people on communal lines.

Lambasting Modi's 'Resurgent Gujarat' campaign, Rahul alleged the chief minister had used public money to project his government.

"I am told that every village gets 24-hour power supply, but I cannot see power being supplied even in the cities," Gandhi said as a generator was used for electricity supply in the locality.

Earlier, addressing a public rally in tribal-dominated Limibi district, he charged the Modi government of not delivering on any of the welfare measures promised to tribals of the state.

Rahul asked the people not to take a narrow view, but to ensure that every member of the society is treated equally.

"I am here to ask you to think of the future and to work together for a society of equality. I am not for a society which gives favour to some and reject others," he said.

Rahul also recalled that his grandfather Feroze Gandhi was a Gujarati.
