West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's admission on Tuesday that there had been an administrative and political failure in Nandigram failed to thaw the Opposition Trinamool Congress, which said that the West Bengal Chief Minister did not understand anything except terror.

"We doubt whether fresh terror will be unleashed in Nandigram [Images] as the chief minister has expressed regret. He is the naked king of terror," TC chief Mamata Bannerjee said in Kolkata.

Bhattacharjee also expressed regret about his earlier remark that those opposing acquisition of farm land for industry in Nandigram had been "paid back in the same coin".

Bannerjee, who left for Delhi today to hold a rally in the capital on Wednesday to protest against the Communist Party of India Marxist's 'recapture' of Nandigram, demanded to know how many people were still missing after the violence.

During a rally in Nandigram on Monday, she claimed that over 100 people were still missing and read out the names of some of them.

When told that the state government had started the process of paying compensation to the families of each of 14 people killed in Nandigram on March 14, she shot back, "The state government has no credit. It is bound to pay compensation since the Calcutta High Court has directed it".
