Former Karnataka minister H D Revanna on Monday dared former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa to either prove corruption charges levelled against him or quit politics.

Revanna said he is ready to face any probe, including a Central Bureau of Investigation enquiry about any transaction he made while he was a minister, with regard to corruption charges against him.

He alleged that Yeddyurappa had been engaged in a 'false propaganda' against him and that his family members and had stooped to the level of burning effigies of Janata Dal-Secular chief H D Deve Gowda and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

"He (Yeddyurappa) should be thankful to Mr Kumaraswamy for supporting him as the deputy chief minister," he said, adding that it was Yeddyurappa who had betrayed Kumaraswamy.

He claimed that he had never insisted on getting the public works and power portfolios as alleged and said he never wanted to be a minister. However, as the public works department minister, he had cleared various proposals, including buildings for nine engineering colleges. While there were stumbling blocks for all engineering colleges, the one promoted by Yeddyurappa in Shimoga was cleared by the government within two days, he added.
