Attacking Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati for allegations of corruption against them, Bharatiya anata Party president Rajnath Singh has said that he would retire from politics the day such charges were levelled against him.

"The day corruption charges are levelled against me, I would retire and sit at home," Singh said while addressing an election meeting at Badlapur in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

Terming the Mulayam government as the most corrupt the state ever had, Singh said it has proved to be a 'failure' on all fronts and also failed to fulfil its promises.

Referring to Mayawati, the BJP president said though she claimed herself to be termed as a messiah of Dalits, she had conveniently forgotten B R ambedkar's views that money was secondary to labour and hard work.

Mayawati has not spared even her party candidates and took money from them for contesting assembly polls in UP, Singh said, adding that similarly she would not spare the people of the state if voted to power.

Claiming that BJP was a party of honest and clean image people, Singh said there was no dearth of leaders in his party who would uphold their honour and dignity at every cost.

He said that BJP, if voted back to power in Uttar Pradesh, Kalyan Singh would become the chief minister of the state and there would be no compromise on this issue.
