The Rashtriya Janata Dal, whose leader Lalu Prasad played a key role in the installation of Madhu Koda government in Jharkhand, will not join the United Progressive Alliance dispensation.

"We have decided to support the government from outside," state RJD chief Gautam Sagar Rana told reporters.

The decision to support the government from outside was taken to keep the 'communal' BJP out of power, he said.

The Koda-led government took over the reins of the state last week after the Arjun Mnda government bowed out of office when it plunged into a crisis following resignation by four ministers.
