Nephew of actor-turned-Member of Parliament Govinda [Images] was arrested along with two friends for allegedly molesting the wife of a Maharashtra minister's personal assistant, police said on Saturday.
In a complaint registered with the police, Seema Chincholikar said Janvendra and his friends had approached her and her husband near a fast-food stall at Juhu beach on the night of September 20 and allegedly tried to molest her.
When she resisted, the accused also assaulted her husband, Seema said in the complaint.
She is married to Dayanand Chincholikar, PA to Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sunil Tatkare.
Janvendra, the son of film producer Kirti Ahuja, will be produced before a suburban court along with his accomplices later on Saturday. Ahuja is Govinda's brother.
