Red carpet for PM in Brazil

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva greets Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during a welcome ceremony at the Alvorada Palace in Brasilia, September 12. Singh and South African President Thabo Mbeki will meet with Lula da Silva at the first summit between the three emerging regional powers. South Africa, India and Brazil formed a bloc called IBSA three years ago to champion developing countries and oppose the farm subsidies of rich nations.
