More explosive devices could be hidden at Bada Kabrastan, one of the three places rocked by blasts in this town, where Muslims agreed not to offer prayers tonight in memory of their dead kin on the occasion of Shab-e-barat, the holiest night in Islam.
After the incident, senior police officials held a meeting with prominent religious personalities and leaders of the town and urged them not to offer prayers tonight at Bada Kabrastan.
"Police suspect that some more devices could be hidden there, and the area will be searched for any explosives," Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil said.
He said the community members have agreed to the police request.
Patil, who arrived from Mumbai in the evening and held a meeting of senior district officials, announced an assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the families of those people killed in the blasts and Rs 50,000 to those injured.
