The Supreme Court has asked Gowri Venkata Reddy, whose ten-year jail term was remitted by the then Andhra Pradesh governor Sushil Kumar Shinde, to surrender before appropriate police authorities.
The Supreme Court had overturned the pardon.
The order was passed when Reddy's counsel Altaf Ahmed mentioned the matter orally.
Reddy sought suspension of the order and requested for some timeframe for his surrender.
He also sought a time limit for the governor to consider his pardon plea afresh.
The apex court had earlier said that the governor may consider his plea afresh after taking into consideration the relevant material.
The court declined all his pleas.
On October 11, the court had rejected pardon granted to the Congress activist, who was sentenced to ten years in jail in a murder case involving Telugu Desam Party workers.
