In Rabale area totally Bandh from morning 10.00 am to evening 5.00 pm.

20-30 people mobs are attacking many of vehicles in TTC area. Lots of stone throwing incidents happen. All over the place there is no police bandobast.

In pune also the situation is worst. People are throwing stones and hitting public with sticks and cricket bats. Even police people are also not trying to control them. Very inconvenient for public. I suffered a lot on roads while going to bank. All cinema theaters, banks are closed which make public life terrible.

The situation is tense in Pune. Employees of various companies are advised to leave early. Even advised to stay in their offices if they come under affected areas of the city. Curfew has been imposed in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

It was a very disappointing day. I was planning to reach my Bombay office for the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress on Dec 1. I was therefore travelling by ill-fated - Deccan Queen Express which was BURNT WITHOUT ANY CAUSE. We were asked to alight at Ulhasnagar. Although no one was harmed physically such a response was indeed not called for.Now  I am stuck in Ulhasnagar and I will thank for the humanitarian help from co-passenger B G Ahuja and his family for helping me stay over. I will appeal to the Dalit leaders to avoid such destructive bursts of feelings. The incidence in Kanpur should not bear any effect in Maharashtra.

Early in the morning I was on morning walk with my friends and kids were getting ready for their school. Their auto/buses came in time and they reached to school in time. By 8.15 am we were ready for our site work at BARC Tarapur and waiting for company vehicle. After 8.30 we received a call from our administration department that preferably we should wait at our home as some group has called for bundh and no vehicles are allowed to be on road. However we taken a risk and managed one private vehicle to reach to site. As such we have not noticed any violence but when we were at site I received a phone call from principal that situation was grim and we must come to collect our wards. I immediately rushed to school which is 10 km from my site but thank to God mob was not violent I could bring my child and collegues kids to our home. Learned that all shops werte closed .No vehicles were running on the road. It is 6 pm, no casuality or blazing incident came to our knowledge so far.

I had to go to my company office at Vikhroli (West). I generally use to travel by BEST bus. I was waiting for bus at Thane Tin-Hath Naka. After waiting for about 1 hr I went to Mulund checknaka to catch the bus. Till then I was unaware about the things happening. There I came to know the matter. I have seen the huge crowd coming to check-naka, They have damaged the four BEST busses and 2 Hexaware [Get Quote] company buses, glass was laying on the road. After that I decided to go to Thane station, But no vehicle to go there, I went there by walk. At around 12 pm I entered in the crowded local and come to Vikhroli. But at Vikhroli situation was under control.

I winessed one of the most ugliest protests and uprisings here in Ulhasnagar. These protests have taken a new face in Ulhasnagar. The protestors have been making rounds in the nearby area since last night, hurling stones at vehicles, bringing down signboards, disrupting transmission lines, and attacking people. It might be shocking for you all, but, majority of the mob were teenagers. And when things went out of control, the police was summoned, and a lathi charge pacified the angry mob. It should be noted that, no police protection or patrolling was given to areas since last night when all this began.

I was in Panvel in the morning where I heard conflicting reports about the situation on the road to Mumbai. I debated for a while and finally decided to drive back at 3.45 pm. Reached Mahim by 4.20. Sections of Chembur and Sion were tense with most shops downing the shutters. Vehicular traffic was thin, police bandobast good and public transport noticeably negligible. All in all a trouble free drive from a normally congested area.
