Fifty-our passengers from India and Pakistan crossed the Line of Control [Images] on Thursday as the sorties of the Srinagar [Images] Muzaffarabad bus service resumed after a gap of nearly two months.

While 28 passengers, who came over to the Indian side last month to visit their relatives, and four locals visiting Muzaffarabad boarded the Peace Bus from Srinagar, 24 passengers crossed the LoC from the Pakistani side.

The bus service had to be suspended following the devastating earthquake on October 8 last year.

Its resumption had to be postponed following requests from Islamabad [Images] that the Chakoti-Muzzafarabad road was blocked due of landslides following heavy downpour in the area.
