Baban Ram Jadhav (right, with his mother), another vegetable vendor who lives on the pavement, was sitting on a bike outside Jogeshwari station when the blast occurred.
"People were running inside to see what happened. I also went. We helped the injured. Even those who were not so seriously injured were in a state of shock," he says. "We gave them water to drink and snacks. We then put them in rickshaws and sent them to Cooper Hospital."
And he, like many Mumbaikars, can't get over gory sights -- of people with limbs torn off, people dead.
"I still can't eat properly. I saw so many dead bodies. I am so scared and shaken up that I still haven't gone to work,” Jadhav says.
"The police came after 15 minutes. They removed the remaining dead bodies."
