All the 12 Indian nationals arrested in Amsterdam for alleged suspicious behaviour on a Mumbai-bound US airliner have been released after Dutch authorities cleared them of the suspicion of act of terrorism.
Official sources said the Dutch justice authorities told the central government that all the 12 Indians were released and no charges against them would be pressed.
Earlier, authorities said suspicion fell on the group after they were using their cell phones, and laptops and were passing the gadgets around.
Reports claimed that a few members of the group were also moving around and did not take their seats when asked to.
The Dutch authorities had, however, made it clear that no terrorism-related charges were filed against the 12.
On Wednesday, two F-16s had to escort the flight that had just taken off from Amsterdam after the crew sounded an alert.
Many passengers were interrogated and the 12 were arrested.
