Maoists on Monday announced a unilateral ceasefire in the Nepalese capital ahead of the planned massive pro-democracy protests this week against the regime of King Gyanendra. The ceasefire will come into effect from Monday evening and would continue till further notice. Maoist leadership also asked its cadres to halt military actions in the capital during the unilateral ceasefire.
