The 33 stranded passengers from Pakistan occupied Kashmir, who came to Jammu and Kashmir [Images] in the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus before October eight earthquake, would leave for home via the Wagah border on Tuesday.

The sources said the 22 stranded passengers in different parts of the Valley have been asked to report at the Police Control Room in Srinagar [Images] on Tuesday morning. The 11 PoK visitors in Jammu have been asked to gather at the PCR for their onward journey to their homes.

Some of the remaining passengers had earlier expressed their desire to stay back and wanted to go home only through the Kaarvan-e-Aman when the bus service between the two sides of Kashmir became operational after construction of the Aman Setu on the LoC.

Aman Setu, the bridge connecting PoK with Jammu and Kashmir on the LoC, the road leading to it was damaged at many places due to the devastating earthquake that struck on October eight.

According to officials of the Border Roads Organisation, which maintains the Srinagar-Kaman post road, it will take at least another month to make the road motorable from this side.

On October nine, eight passengers from PoK were repatriated to their homeland via the Wagah border.

Meanwhile, as many as 41 Indian passengers are still missing in quake-ravaged PoK.

Of the 54 stranded Indian passengers in PoK, only 12 have returned while one died in Muzaffarabad.
