An earthquake, measuring, according to the US Geological Survey, 8.7 on the Richter Scale, off the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra island, has reportedly killed over 300 people in Nias Island.
The quake destroyed many buildings in Gunungsitoli, and it is feared that many people who are trapped in the debris might be dead.
