Indo-PoK bus: Pak team to visit Uri

A team of senior Pakistani army officials will meet in Uri in north Kashmir on Monday to finalise the arrangements for the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road, official sources said.

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh [Images] is scheduled to flag off the first bus service, which will resume after over 57 years, from Srinagar [Images] on April 7.

Last week, senior Indian army [Images] officers met Pakistani officials in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to ensure the smooth launch of the service.

Senior army officials also briefed Jammu and Kashmir [Images] Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed about the ongoing works on the bus route.

They informed him that the route would be completed by March 31.
