Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan on Thursday refused to comment on the controversial resignation of Shiv Sena's member of Parliament Sanjay Nirupam.
"I have nothing to say on Nirupam's resignation as it is Shiv Sena's internal matter," the former Union broadcasting and information minister said in New Delhi.
The Shiv Sena is a part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
Nirupam, talking to reporters on Wednesday, had said his attempts to expose Mahajan's links with a private company was one of the reasons for his fallout with the Sena.
Mahajan, however, refused to comment on the allegation that he and his family members were given this company's shares at throwaway prices.
Mahajan was in Lucknow in connection with a BJP rally against the Samajwadi Party-led UP government.
