The Supreme Court will give its verdict on Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati's bail application in the Sankararaman murder case on Monday.
The court had on Friday reserved orders on the application after hearing arguments by shankaracharya's counsel Fali S Nariman, who challenged some of the prosecution's theories on which the seer was arrested in connection with the murder of the temple official.
Prosecution counsel K T S Tulsi had opposed the bail application and argued if the shankaracharya was released, a number of Mutt officials who were witnesses in the case may be pressurised not to speak the truth.
