The Rashtriya Janata Dal is peeved by the seat-sharing understanding between the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the assembly election in Jharkhand.

"This is a one-sided electoral understanding without taking the RJD into confidence," party's national spokesman Sanjay Paswan told PTI.

As per the understanding reached between JMM leader Shibu Soren and Congress president Sonia Gandhi [Images], the JMM will contest 35 seats and the Congress 33. Other allies will share among them the remaining 13 seats.

Both the Congress and the JMM had failed to keep the RJD informed about the developments, Paswan said.

"Leaving just 13 seats for the RJD and the Left is not justifiable," he added.

"We (the Congress, RJD and the JMM) are part of the United Progressive Alliance. They should not have done like this," Paswan said.

He said the arrangement could have an effect on the ongoing seat-sharing talks between the RJD and the Congress for the Bihar election.

The party would contest 25 seats in Jharkhand and 190-plus in Bihar, he added.
