Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Bahujan Samaj Party national president Mayawati Monday announced the expulsion of four party members of Parliament, including three who were caught on camera in the cash-for-query scam.

Announcing the decision in Lucknow, Mayawati said Narendra Kushwaha, Rajaram Pal and L C Khol -- who were among 10 MPs expelled from the Lok Sabha on Friday for accepting money to raise questions in Parliament -- were being removed from the party with immediate effect for lowering the dignity of Parliament and the BSP.

She said another party MP, Rajya Sabha member Ghanshyam Chandra has also been expelled from the party with immediate effect for bigamy.

"Since he has been expelled from the party, he should resign from his RS membership," she added.
