Ten people were killed and 35 injured in an explosion on Thursday in a market in Pakistan's troubled tribal region near the Afghan border, officials said.
The blast hit a hotel and shops in a market in Jandola town in the south Waziristan region.
The cause of the blast was not known, officials said.
A resident said many more people could have been killed in the blast which happened at 0830 hrs IST.
