Adversity brings out the best in some people and organisations.
It also brings out the worst in some.
In the Bharatiya Janata Party's case, the latter seems to be true.
The 'party with a difference,' proud of its second-rung leadership when it was in power, now lies in disarray.
November 10 marked one of the darkest moments in the party's history, when former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti dared to do the unthinkable: stand up to L K Advani, who is trying to establish control over the party after taking over as BJP president from M Venkaiah Naidu.
Advani suspended her from the party and issued her a show-cause notice to explain why she should not be expelled.
Can things get worse for the BJP?
What should Advani do to stop the infighting, boost the morale of party cadres and re-establish the BJP as a force to be reckoned with in national politics?
Any ideas?
Tell us, and we will pass on the ideas to Mr Advani.
