Militants kill 11 Pakistani troops

AFP | March 23, 2004 13:36 IST

Militants linked to Al-Qaeda have killed at least 11 Pakistani soldiers in the north-western tribal zone, security officials said on Tuesday.

Three soldiers were killed and four wounded in a rocket attack on an army camp in the tribal area of Parachinar on Tuesday, a security source told AFP on condition of anonymity.

The source said at least eight soldiers were killed and several others injured on Monday when militants ambushed a supply convoy in South Waziristan.
