Musharraf reviews peace talks

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Saturday reviewed the progress on the eight points of the dialogue process with India.
Foreign Minister Khurshid Memhmood Kasuri, Vice Chief of Army General Muhammad Yusuf and other officials briefed him.
"In his remarks the president stressed upon the need for a substantive and result-oriented dialogue for resolution of all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, for lasting peace and stability in South Asia," a foreign office statement said.
The eight points are peace and security, Jammu and Kashmir, Wullar Barrage, promotion of friendly exchanges, Siachen, Sir Creek, terrorism and drug trafficking and economic and commercial cooperation.
Foreign secretaries of the two countries discussed peace and security and Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi last month.
Secretaries of the ministry of water of both the countries completed their two-day talks on the Wullar Barrage issue in Islamabad on Friday.
