In line with its decision to boycott 'tainted' ministers, National Democratic Alliance members on Friday walked out of the Lok Sabha during Question Hour as soon as a query was put to Coal Minister Shibu Soren.

As soon as Congress member Dhani Ram Shandil put a question to Soren on withdrawal of centrally-sponsored schemes relating to the Coal Ministry, BJP leader V K Malhotra was on his feet protesting against the minister answering queries saying he was "tainted".

He was immediately supported by members of the NDA who raising slogans staged a walkout. The query was, however, rejected by Speaker Somnath Chatterjee saying it had no relevance to the main question.

"Dagi mantri hatao (remove tainted Ministers)", shouted NDA members as they left the House. They returned when the House took up the next question related to the Finance Ministry.
