The Bharatiya Janata Party-led opposition is all set to continue its protest against 'tainted ministers' in the budget session of Parliament beginning today.

The opposition protest against ministers who have charges framed against them by a court of law had paralysed the last session of Parliament.

The BJP is also upset with the government because it was not invited to the minority conference held in New Delhi on July 2.

The party will also raise in Parliament the issue of dismissal of four governors by the new government. "The dismissal of the governors of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat and Goa is a blot on democratic principals. We will raise the issue in Parliament," a senior BJP minister said.

Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has called the sackings "a big blow to democracy."

Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav is among the ministers that the opposition wants removed from the council of ministers.

The opposition will almost certainly boycott Lalu's presentation of the railway budget.

About the minority conference, the leader said: "It would have been all right if the minority conference had been organised by the Congress and the BJP not invited. But the conference was a government function and the fact that the BJP was ignored shows that the Manmohan Singh government has its own vested agenda.
