The Bharatiya Janata Party's recent poll debacle and its resolve at the Mumbai mational executive to return to its 'ideological constituency', and the United Progressive Alliance government's stand on key issues including Ayodhya, will figure prominently at a meeting of senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leaders at Raipur, Chhatisgarh, beginning July 9.

The four-day meeting of RSS 'prant pracharaks' (state organisers) is also expected to discuss the government's move to 'de-toxify' National Council of Educational Research and Training textbooks and sacking of governors linked to the RSS, Sangh sources said.

RSS chief K S Sudarshan had recently hit out at the UPA government and the Left parties over the issue of
 'detoxifying' history textbooks.

While the annual meeting generally reviews the expansion of RSS 'shakhas' (branches) across the country, the coming session would deliberate on the present political situation as it is the first meeting of senior RSS leaders after the Lok Sabha poll outcome.

Besides the top RSS leaders, senior 'pracharaks' from allied organisations, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad chief Ashok Singhal and BJP general secretary incharge of organisation Sanjay Joshi, are expected to attend the meeting. Also on the agenda is the centenary celebrations of RSS founder Guru Golwalkar next year.
