After assuring India that it will not allow its soil to be used as breeding ground for terrorists, Pakistan has shifted all militant camps from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir to Gilgit and Baltistan, said Shazia Ghulam Din, daughter-in-law of Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front founder Maqbool Bhatt. "The Pakistani establishment has merged several of these camps and moved them away from the periphery of Muzzafarabad and other areas in PoK," she said.
Shazia's husband, Showkat Bhat, heads the All Parties National Alliance in PoK. She is India on a private visit. "I think they [the camps] have been shifted to Gilgit and Baltistan areas and no Kashmiri or ordinary Pakistani has the right to visit these places," Shazia said.
She said the presence of foreign mercenaries in PoK had created major social problems for the locals and the world community will come to know about the real situation once the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service is launched.
Terming the jehadis as fasadis (troublemakers), Shazia said: "Large number of mercenaries from Afghanistan, Pakistan and other Muslim countries have invaded the rich cultural heritage and history of Kashmir in PoK."
