Srikalahasti Rural Circle Inspector B Srinivasan said Usha and her husband R L Narayanan took a loan of Rs 30 lakh from the State Bank of India's Srikalahasti branch in 1997 for setting up a cement brick factory.
The bank in 2001 lodged a complaint with the local police alleging that Usha and her husband were not repaying the loan.Narayanan was arrested and later let off on bail. Usha, however, remained elusive, though a non-bailable warrant was issued by a Srikalahasti court on November 30 last year against her.
"We will send our police team to arrest Usha only after getting a green signal from the Tamil Nadu police," Srinivasan said.
