Traffic on the Kasara section of the Agra-Mumbai road in Nasik district, which was blocked following landslides on Thursday, has been restored. State traffic control sources confirmed that traffic was restored around 11 pm last night after debris was cleared.

Meanwhile, no rain-related incidents have been reported to any of the control rooms. 

The Western Railway, which restored traffic partially on Thursday, today said that apart from the Ferozpur Janta Express, which leaves from Mumbai Central, all other trains are running on schedule. The Ferozpur Janta express has been cancelled. 

The Golden Temple Express will not go further than Hazrat Nizamuddin as there is no clear information on the flood situation in Punjab. The trains on the Central line are running on schedule, the sources said.

The Meteorological department has predicted intermittent moderate rains in the next 24 hours and said the Colaba region received 15.5 mm of rainfall in the last 24-hours, ending at 8.30 this morning. Santacruz received 11.9 mm.

Meanwhile, reports from the Pune division said that except for Tameghar, very little rain occurred in Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Solapur and Sangli districts in the past 24 hours until 8.30 am today. Tameghar recorded 82 mm of rainfall. Other places, which received rain were Bhadgad (25mm), Niradevghad (65mm) and Vadivala (24mm).

Following consecutive rainfall during the last week the water level in most of the 36 dams in the Bhima and Krishna rivers was good, the sources said.
