Hungarian PM arrives on India visit

Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy arrived in New Delhi on Sunday on a 7-day visit to India.
He is the first Hungarian PM to visit India in 29 years.
Minister of State for Finance Shripad Naik and senior officials received him at the airport.
Madgyessy, accompanied by a delegation, will discuss with his Indian counterpart Atal Bihari Vajpayee bilateral relations and international issues of mutual interest.
He will also call on President A P J Abdul Kalam and Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat
The PM will meet External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha and Leader of the Opposition Sonia Gandhi.
During the visit, India and Hungary are slated to sign agreements on avoidance of double taxation, bilateral promotion and protection of investment, defence cooperation and cultural and educational exchange programmes.
He will also visit Agra, Bangalore and Mumbai, external affairs ministry officials said.
