The Delhi Police on Monday booked Kashmir Press Service editor Ghulam alias Raja Mohideen under the Prevention of Terrorism Act following the seizure of some documents and computer floppies indicating his alleged links with Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence, police sources said.

The documents indicated that Mohideen was channeling money between the ISI and militants in the country, the sources said. The raids were conducted at Mohideen's residence and office in Srinagar, they said.

Police also recovered Rs 650,000 from his possession, besides a wristwatch with a built-in camera, a mobile phone, a Chinese pistol and bullets.

Mohideen was earlier picked by security agencies in September 2001 on the Indo-Pak border at Wagah in Punjab while returning from Pakistan on a regular visa, but was let off after interrogation, they said. He had on several occasions, on behalf of the pro-Pakistan Hizbul Mujahideen, claimed responsibility for acts of violence in the Kashmir valley, they said.

He was arrested in Delhi on Friday after he allegedly received Rs 650,000 from a hawala dealer near the Lajpat Nagar area. On Saturday a court remanded him to police custody for three days.
