Women's Bill will be passed: Vajpayee

May 08, 2003 00:30 IST

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Wednesday said the Women's Reservation Bill will be passed before the end of the term of the 13th Lok Sabha.

He told this to a women's delegation, who are part of the Joint Action Front, that visited him a day after the Bill was stalled in the Lok Sabha.

Vajpayee also suggested to the delegation that their Front should consider 'alternative' proposals and meet Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi for the passage of the Bill.
