Armed naxalites belonging to the outlawed People's War attacked another godown of multinational Pepsi at Piduguralla in south coastal Andhra Pradesh late on Sunday night.

A police spokesman said a group of 10 naxalites barged into the private godown of a Pepsi distributor at around 2230 IST on Sunday to protest against the American attack of Iraq.

They planted explosives in the godown, but when they failed to explode, they resorted to smashing 100 bottles.

They raised slogans denouncing the US aggression and demanded the withdrawal of the allied forces from Iraq.

The Sunday attack is the third such incident where naxalites have targetted the godowns of Pepsi and Coca Cola to voice their protests.

Earlier, in two separate incidents on March 23, PWG naxalites had blasted a Pepsi godown in Anantapur town in southern Andhra Pradesh and destroyed eight cases of Coco Cola in a godown in Yerragondapalem in Prakasam district.

Meanwhile, the People's War faxed a statement to the local media calling for the boycott of American and British goods and stating that the US has attacked Iraq to control its oil fields and is attempting to redraw the boundaries of West Asia in favour of Israel.
