The Indian Army on Saturday put all its units in Jammu and Kashmir on high alert.

The move followed a suicide attack at an army camp at Saujiwan in which at least 12 armymen were killed.

The army also announced that anti-militancy operations will be intensified.

Army sources told PTI that the two terrorists who had carried out the suicide attack had crossed the border within the last 48 hours.

Army spokesman Brigadier Shruti Kant said that tall grass around the camp had prevented the detection of terrorists.

He said the army has now ordered the cutting of grass near cantonment areas and border camps.

Army sources added militants were infiltrating through the international border between Pathankot and Jammu, as troop deployment along the Line of Control was heavy.
